City to Coast
A Film for Andrew Hood to promote his artwork
Brass Hand Studios was hired to produce, direct, and edit a film to tell the story of Andrew’s artistic impressions of Salcombe, Devon in comparison to Bristol, and showcase his artwork. With a focus on the differences between the two locations, the film tells the story of both sides of the locations that inspire Andrew’s work whilst showing the work in progress and the locations themselves.
What Brass Hand Studios did…
Worked closely with Andrew to form a narrative that would best tell the story of the work to be featured in an exhibition.
Shot studio based interviews with the artist, and spent time capturing him at work on various pieces.
Travelled to Salcombe in Devon, a location often featured in his paintings, to film him sketching and painting on location, and spending time in the boat from which he gets a lot of inspiration.
Clipped segments from the film for use as social media reels to promote the City to Coast exhibition, with added gallery location and date information.
